Mediation is offered for people experiencing conflict, with a desire to resolve this well.
What is mediation?
In mediation you try to find a solution together with the other party under the guidance of a mediator. The mediator restarts communication, supervises the discussions and monitors the process. He helps parties find a solution to the conflict. A mediator ensures that you can tell what is bothering you, that you can hear each other again and come out together. Everyone's needs, concerns, and wishes come to the table and are meticulous.
The escalation of a conflict is often based on miscommunication and / or misunderstanding and improving communication between parties can make the interests of each party more transparent. When there is more mutual understanding, the actual problems can come up, after which the parties can come to an agreement together. In principle, the mediator will not provide solutions or advice: the parties ultimately do this themselves. The mediator creates the optimal conditions within which a solution can be found.
